Level selection
The electrical energy measurement devices in operation are divided into five categories according to the amount of electrical energy they measure and the importance of the measurement objects:
Class I electric energy metering device
High-voltage billing users with an average monthly power consumption of 5 million kWh or more or transformer capacity of 10,000 kVA or more, generators of 200 MW and above, electricity generation capacity of power generation enterprises, electricity exchange points between grid operators, provincial grid operators and their Electric energy metering device at the metering point of the power supply point of the power supply enterprise.
Class Ⅱ electric energy metering device
Electricity metering device for high-voltage billing users with an average monthly power consumption of 1 million kWh or above or a transformer capacity of 2000 kVA and above, generators of 100 MW or above, and power supply exchange points.
Class III electric energy metering device
The average monthly power consumption is 100,000 kWh and above or billing users with a transformer capacity of 315 kVA and above, the generators below 100 MW, the power consumption of power plant factories (stations), the measurement points used in the power supply company for contracting assessment, and the assessment is effective Power balance metering device for 110kVA and above transmission lines.
Type Ⅳ electric energy metering device
Energy metering device for billing users with load capacity below 315kVA, analysis of internal economic and technical indicators of power generation and power supply companies, and assessment
Type Ⅴ electric energy metering device
Electricity metering device for single-phase power consumers.
Class Ⅰ energy metering devices should be equipped with at least 0.2s or 0.5s grade active power meter, 2.0 grade reactive power meter, 0.2 grade transformer.
Class Ⅱ energy metering device should be equipped with at least 0.5s or 0.5 grade active power meter, 2.0 grade reactive power meter, 0.2 grade transformer.
Class III electric energy metering devices shall be equipped with at least 1.0 grade active power meter, 2.0 grade reactive power meter, and 0.5 grade transformer.
